2. Calculator Estimations and Tolerances
All calculations produced by our interactive tools (including DPI density, file size ranges, pixel matrices, and aspect ratios) are mathematical projections. Actual scanning results depend upon physical paper humidity, paper stretch, scanner mechanical stepper motor tolerances, and software encoder efficiency. We make no guarantee that an estimate will match an exact file down to the single byte.
